Our Cubs have returned home with fantastic memories after an action-packed four-day Cub Camp themed "Planet Protectors of the Earth."

Throughout the camp, they enjoyed a wide range of activities that combined adventure, creativity and environmental learning. Highlights included a visit from Chris McAuley of the Litter Picking Watch - Romney Marsh, who taught the Cubs about litter and recycling before they put their knowledge into practice on a litter pick around Lydd.

The Cubs also experimented with natural dyes to create colourful tie-dye pillowcases, completed a two-mile hike, tried throwing angels, designed anti-litter posters, enjoyed traditional afternoon tea, played rounders and rounded off one evening with a campfire full of songs, toasted marshmallows and s'mores.

Of course, there was plenty of time for fun too, with scavenger hunts, water fights, films, hot chocolate and games throughout the camp.

The week ended with the traditional Grand Howl, where every Cub received a certificate and a special camp badge to celebrate everything they had achieved.

We are incredibly proud of every Cub for embracing new challenges, supporting one another and truly living up to our Planet Protectors theme. A huge thank you also goes to Chris McAuley, our volunteer leaders and everyone who helped make another successful Cub Camp possible.
