The Great Tommy Sleepout 2025

On Friday 21st March 2025, 1st Lydd Scouts and Explorers participated in The Great Tommy Sleepout. Seventeen young people took part in sleeping under the stars to fundraise for veterans across the UK. The challenge doesn't replicate rough sleeping but it gave them an idea of the situation far too many of the nation's heroes find themselves in. 

The weather was damp, with it raining overnight, but this did not stop them from completing the challenge. Once we know the total amount they raised, we will update you.
