Beavers & Cubs smash Pancake Challenge 2021 !!!!

Normally Cubs and Beavers would be celebrating Shrove Tuesday with pancake races and turning out delicious creations at their 1st New Romney HQ.
This year the inspirational Leaders decided on a mobile pancake challenge. Masterminded by Cub Leader Carole, Leaders from all the sections delivered shaker pancake mixes to every young person and it's true to say they were blown away by the results from the very creative youngsters supported by equally wonderful parents.
'It was good to see the Beavers again' stated Beaver Leader Penny. "The Beavers did an incredible job with their pancake challenge. Look at those toppings - they look delicious. Fantastic job everyone! Scouting is still happening locally, via social media, but we miss the youngsters and the F2F activities, that's the fun part of Scouting!"

Cub Leader Carole was: "Totally blown away by your creativity and enthusiasm for the 1st New Romney Pancake Challenge. Well done Beavers and Cubs, fantastic effort and results. Thank you for taking part, you are great ambassadors for 1st New Romney Scout Group and Scouting nationally. I hope you all feel super proud of yourselves."

Final word goes to Cub Archie and his King of the Jungle creation extraordinaire: " I am missing cubs because we have fires and make s'mores it is fun. I miss Akela and all the other Cubs. We do zooms so we can see our friends but it's not as good as seeing them face to face. Zooms are good to talk to our friends and play games, my favourite game is battle ships.
